Paklenica Mountaineering Association is an organization that brings together people of all age groups, with a special focus on youth. The Association is active through three sections (trail maintenance, sport climbing, ski touring) and the Speleological Department Liburnija. It maintains over 150 km of hiking trails in Paklenica National Park. Activities include excursions, schools, courses, hikes, workshops, lectures, and competitions, mostly taking place on Mount Velebit, while the Association’s premises are used for social gatherings and educational events. The Association is based on volunteer work and promotes outdoor activities and a connection with nature, with a strong emphasis on education, especially through mountaineering and speleological schools.The Association also manages the Paklenica Mountain Lodge in Paklenica National Park, as well as several mountain shelters on Velebit.
